This policy explains what information the Squeeze app ("the App", "we", "us") handles, why, and the choices you have. Squeeze compresses videos entirely on your device, never uploads your videos anywhere, and works without an account. Please read this policy before using the App; by using it you agree to the practices described here.
In short
- No sign-up, no login, no passwords. We do not know who you are.
- Your videos are read, compressed and saved on your phone only. Squeeze has no servers and no cloud processing.
- Videos are chosen through the Android photo picker, so the App never gets access to your whole gallery.
- The App shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads may be personalised using your device's Advertising ID; you can decline or reset it at any time (see section 4).
- A local history of what you compressed (file names, sizes, dates) stays on your device and is deleted with the App.
1. Who we are
The App is developed and published by KAS Group ("we"). For any privacy question or request, write to kasgroupapps@gmail.com.
2. What Squeeze does with your videos
- When you pick a video, the App reads it from your device, re-encodes it with the phone's built-in hardware video encoder, and writes the result back to your device — to the Gallery › Squeeze album, or to the App's private storage if automatic saving is turned off.
- Your videos, thumbnails and file names never leave your device. There is no upload, no server-side processing and no backup by us.
- Videos are selected through the Android system photo picker. The App therefore does not request the
READ_MEDIA_VIDEOpermission and cannot browse your library on its own. - If you choose "Delete original", Android shows its own confirmation and performs the deletion; the App cannot delete gallery items without that confirmation.
- A local list of the videos you compressed (file name, original and compressed size, date) is stored on your device so the History screen can show it. Clearing history or uninstalling the App deletes it.
3. Information collected automatically (advertising)
Squeeze is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect the following on Google's behalf to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud:

We do not receive any of this data in a form that identifies you. How Google uses it is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
The App shows banner ads, an occasional full-screen ad after a compression finishes, an app-open ad when returning to the App, and a native ad card on the History screen. No ads are shown while a video is being compressed.
4. Your choices about ads
- Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App shows Google's consent form before loading ads. You can change your choices at any time in Settings › Ad preferences inside the App (this entry appears only where consent is required).
- Personalised vs. non-personalised. If you decline personalised ads, the App requests non-personalised ads only.
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising on this device.
5. Permissions the App uses

The App does not use the camera, microphone, contacts or precise location, and does not read videos you have not explicitly selected.
6. Data retention
Compressed videos and the local history live on your device until you delete them. We retain nothing on servers, because there are none. Ad-related data is retained by Google according to its own policies.
7. Children
Squeeze is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are requested with a maximum content rating of "PG".
8. Security
Because your videos never leave your device, the main safeguard is your device itself. Files written to the App's private storage are not accessible to other apps; files saved to the gallery are accessible to apps you have granted media access. Ad requests use HTTPS. No method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data. Since Squeeze itself stores no personal data about you, these rights are exercised toward Google for advertising data (see section 4) or by simply clearing the App's data. 10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change and, for significant changes, the App's release notes will say so. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
